Welcome to your latest team update from Salisbury House Wealth. This month, we’d like to introduce you to Florence Holmes and celebrate her journey from Client Support Administrator to becoming a Paraplanner.

Florence joined Salisbury House Wealth in 2019 in a Client Support role, working closely with advisers and getting involved with the day-to-day admin of our clients’ cases.

“It was a great way to build up my knowledge of ISAs and pensions, as well as more technical products,” says Florence. “Also, I was dealing with providers, carrying out transfers, and working on general admin, which meant I developed a good understanding of just about every aspect of a client case.

“Really, it was this exposure to the more technical side of things that made me think about training in finance, as I found it so interesting. That’s what prompted me to make the move into paraplanning.”

Florence has now completed her Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.

This consists of six core modules (R01 – R06), which cover:

  • Regulation
  • Investments
  • Tax
  • Pensions
  • Protection
  • Practical application

“This has given me a solid understanding of the core principles of finance,” Florence continues. “I particularly enjoy the more technical side of my role, especially exploring best-case scenarios for our clients.

“I also like getting involved with client-specific cases and making sure the recommendations are suitable for each client, skills that my training has helped me to develop.”

We’ve been delighted to have Florence as part of our team over the past seven years, and it’s fantastic that she’s chosen to take her Diploma and shift into the more technical side of the team.
