Welcome to our latest team update. This month, we’d like to share some good news, as two of our team members take their next steps in their career to become Chartered Financial Planners.
Oscar Holmes

Oscar joined Salisbury House Wealth in September 2021, straight from school. He spent his first two years with us working in the mortgage and protection side of the business, shadowing advisers and learning about the mortgage process.
He’s now been advising clients on mortgages and protection for the past two years, while also training two of our newer team members who are following in his footsteps.
Recently, Oscar has been shadowing some of our advisers to learn more about the role of a pension and investment adviser.
He says: “I’m excited to use the skills I’ve acquired as a mortgage and protection adviser, along with the expertise and knowledge from our senior advisers, to start my new role as a pension and investment adviser.
“I’m also just waiting on the results of my final exam, before I become a Chartered financial planner.”
Max Faulkner

Max also started working at Salisbury House Wealth in 2021, after the pandemic paused his plans to start earlier.
He worked at his parents’ restaurant while he was growing up, and while he loved it, he knew it wasn’t something he wanted to do for the rest of his life.
Max’s brother Oli has worked at the firm for over 10 years, and he decided to follow in his brother’s footsteps.
“There wasn’t a course I particularly wanted to do at university, and this worked well with my A levels,” he says. “I spent the first three years in the mortgage and protection side of the business, before recently starting my journey into pension and investment advice.”
Max has spent five years studying, taking a total of 15 exams, with his final result due in mid-April to determine his Chartered status.
“There’s an amazing set of advisers here to learn from, especially as I move into the pensions and investment side of the business,” he says. “Also, I’ve known Oscar since I was six, so it’s especially nice moving through the company and finance world alongside him. It’s definitely helped to study and revise for exams together, and it makes it more exciting to have a bit of friendly competition.
“I’ve known our managing director Tim since I was little, and that’s helped me to build a brilliant picture of the type of adviser I’d like to be. Meeting a wide range of new people and having the opportunity to help our clients is definitely the best part of the job.”
We are proud to have Max and Oscar as part of the Salisbury House Wealth team and look forward to seeing them develop even further in their careers as they support more clients in meeting their financial planning needs over the coming years.
