Hi, I’m Connor. Salisbury House have been helping me with a mortgage for my first house purchase; I’m looking at moving in at some point in the next few months.

One of the most helpful aspects about how they operate is that they really do look at everything. If I was to do it independently by myself, I wouldn’t have looked at half of the providers, or half of the options that they have. They made it really nice and easy to assess everything at a glance and pick the best option for me.

One of the best parts about working with Salisbury House is that, especially as a younger person, they took me seriously right from the start. I was a little bit worried stepping into something like this, that they wouldn’t take me seriously and wouldn’t think that I was as established as they might need or other clients, but from day one, they’ve treated me with the same respect that they would give to everybody else, and that’s been really nice.

In my current role I work in sales, so, I get commission as well as my main salary. One of my main concerns about getting a mortgage was that all of my earnings might not be taken into account when applying with certain banks. When working with Salisbury House, they were able to find an option for me that looked at all of my earnings, and I was able to get a higher loan amount as a result.

One of my other main concerns or worries was that I had no idea how a mortgage worked, or really what it was. From day one, when I was speaking with Max, the mortgage adviser, he was able to explain to me, in incredibly easy-to-understand ways, what it was and what it would mean for me, especially as somebody who’s got very little financial literacy, he was able to make that really clear for me.

Once we applied for a mortgage, and had passed through the admin, Max stayed very close to the process and was relaying all the information to the estate agents I was working with to ensure they had everything they needed, and I had everything I needed, which was beyond what I expected, and not something I would have been able to do myself very easily, which was really helpful in the whole process.

It makes me feel safe working with Salisbury House Wealth. I know that I’ve got the backing of a really good team behind me when I am stepping into things like mortgages and house purchases. Without their support, I might not have the confidence to do that, but they put me in a really good spot to be able to do these things.

I’d absolutely recommend Salisbury House to those looking for a mortgage. I’ve got friends at the moment who are looking at buying their first home and I couldn’t think of it anything better they could have done in the whole process.
