Marie's story

My name is Marie Reid. I’ve been a client of Salisbury House for approximately two months now, and Max Faulkner looks after me.

So I think when I was first introduced to Max, I think, for me, it’s, I just wanted that peace of mind, really, of knowing that if the unexpected were to happen, whether that was for me to pass away or a serious illness, or for me to be unlikely to work for any reason, I’d have that financial protection in place, and that really reflects my needs and long-term objectives.

I think working with Max, what really stood out was how patient he was. He took as much time as I needed and made me feel really comfortable before making any decisions. He was really good at explaining the purpose of life insurance, critical illness cover, and income protection individually, helping me to understand what each one was designed to protect against.

He made it very clear and explained all the different protection products. He broke down everything into plain English without using any unnecessary jargon.

I think it’s very reassuring knowing that I have Max available if I do need any further support. So it feels very it’s just like, I suppose, a warm feeling just to know that he’s just on the other end of a phone, or I can drop him a text message, just knowing that he’s there if I’ve got any questions to answer them in the best way that he can.

So I was introduced to Salisbury House by a close friend of mine who has been a client for a number of years, and simply couldn’t speak highly enough of the firm and of the service they’d received.

I feel completely at ease about my financial future, now that I’m working with Max. From my very first meeting with Max, he took the time to get to know me and to understand my circumstances and what I wanted to achieve, before making any recommendations to me. So yeah, absolutely. I feel very, very happy that I’ll be working with Max in the future as well.

So I think the best thing about working with Max and Salisbury House was that, from my very first meeting with Max, I felt completely at ease throughout the whole process.

Max regularly checked that I understood everything, and he encouraged me to ask questions. I never once felt rushed or overwhelmed at any point.

I think the best piece of advice that I’ve got is that it’s more of a peace of mind for me. So it’s knowing that if the unexpected were to happen, whether I were to pass away or suffer a serious illness or be unable to work due to ill health, I have that financial protection in place that reflects my needs and my long-term objectives.

I would absolutely recommend Max and Salisbury House. The communication throughout was excellent. Max kept me updated at every stage, responding promptly to any questions that I had, which made the whole process really straightforward.
