Iain and Julie's story

Ian

My name is Ian, and this is Julie, my wife. We’ve been with Salisbury House for about 18 months, and Dominic is our adviser. He’s a very nice gentleman, and we get on quite well with him.

Julie

My mother died and she’d left us some money, which we kept in the savings account. Both of us were working quite long shifts and doing a lot of work, and I said to him that we needed a change. So, we decided on something that we both wanted to do, but we didn’t want to use all our capital to do it, and that’s why we came to Salisbury House.

Ian

We knew about Salisbury House through a great friend of ours who actually works here at Salisbury House, and having explored some avenues, we spoke to her, and although she’s not an adviser, she advised us against doing what we were considering until we’d spoken to somebody here, which is what we did.

Julie

Right from the word go when we came in through the front door, we were made to feel relaxed, happy, and if there was anything they could do for us, they would do. It was very comfortable. I didn’t feel pressured at all, we could say anything, we talked through everything, and I just felt very comfortable. That’s why I decided that that’s what I wanted to do.

Ian

We were very happy with the advice we got. The mechanics of obtaining the money was very easy, it’s all done by email and phone contact, and Dominic answered any questions that we had, and was very good.

Julie

I wasn’t afraid of asking any questions, and I laid my cards on the table, my thoughts and worries about how things would affect me because we have an age difference between us, and I wanted to make sure we were making the right decision. They’ve made me feel so comfortable, and we have made the right decision.

Ian

We were very pleased to meet Dominic. He’s a very friendly guy, he’s confident, and he knows what he’s talking about.

Julie

He’s made me feel confident about my future financially and our wellbeing. We can contact them at any time and not be afraid to do that, knowing they’ll always be ready and willing to help as best as they can.

Ian

Dominic is our financial adviser. I know there are others here who we haven’t been in contact with, but if Dominic’s anything to go by, the others are going to be good as well! We are more than happy to recommend this place; it’s been very good for us.

Julie

It doesn’t matter about the amount of money; don’t be afraid about what money you’ve got. They can always put you on the right path and help you along the way.
